March Break is here! Instead of jetting off to the Caribbean or hitting the slopes out West, why not enjoy a "staycation" with family this week? Check out some of the events we've got going on around the community this March Break.

Blue Mountain Resort

Blue Mountain is keeping it extra kid-friendly this week, with so much more than just great skiing! In partnership with The Family Channel, enjoy fun-filled activities each and every day such as: arts and crafts in Grand Central Lodge, family Zumba at the Westin Trillium House, and even a concert from Juno-nominated Canadian singer Suzie McNeil. Eat taffy on snow, pamper your kids at the children’s spa, or enjoy an adult beverage on Rusty's slope-side all-season patio. There truly is something for everyone in the Village at Blue this March Break!

Collingwood

Head to the Collingwood Public Library and check out the Magic of Children in the Arts display. On top of their already innovative March Break children's programming (www.collingwoodpubliclibrary.ca), this event is definitely one to check out! With over 1000+ pieces of art made by kids in the Collingwood and Clearview communities, be inspired by today's youths who will no doubt be tomorrow’s artists!

Clearview

Explore the Highlands Nordic Maple Bush this Thursday and Friday, while you experience and learn the different ways of making maple syrup on a self-guided snowshoe tour. Located in Duntroon, these trails boast an excellent view of Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment. Top it off with a hearty lunch afterwards and you’ll be good to go. Adult tickets for $8, children’s are $5.

And if you happen to have a babysitter at all this week...

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Side Launch Brewery in Collingwood this Friday! Back at it for their second year, this is the place you'll want to be on Green Beer Day. They will also be brewing their first-ever Irish Stout for a limited time to commemorate the holiday. Live music and DJ Lenny promise to make this evening unforgettable.

Also, everyone's favourite local cidery has now officially opened their doors. Thornbury Village Cider House is serving their famous apple cider along with an award-winning range of craft beers in a beautifully refurbished new space. Pop in for a tasting and some snacks any day this week. Open 'til 8pm daily!

We hope you enjoy a happy, healthy, and safe March Break!
